Carrie Canizales

Carrie Canizales is a Juvenile and Family Law attorney who primarily practices in Maricopa County, Arizona. Carrie graduated from Phoenix School of Law in December 2010, and was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in April 2013. Shortly thereafter, Carrie started taking dependency cases, with the areas she practices in broadening over time. With just over ten (10) years' experience, Carrie has ample knowledge of the judicial system when it comes to children and families in need of legal assistance. Today, Carrie's typical caseload includes guardianships, terminations of parental rights, adoptions, dependencies, family law matters such as divorces, establishments, and modifications, and the areas in which Juvenile and Family Law crossover into one another. Many of Carrie's cases involve allegations of substance abuse issues. Having personal experience with that population, Carrie felt called to practice in the area of Juvenile and Family Law to help families through difficult times. Carrie began practicing law later in life, having been previously employed with the United States Postal Service. Carrie's brother has been a Family Law attorney for several years; so, when she began considering a second career, she too turned to the legal field. Carrie is a native Arizonan who enjoys spending her summers in San Diego, California and reading in her free time.
